Nails of the Week: Grey and Navy!

I'm having a bad day, so I thought it seemed appropriate to paint my nails grey. Then to make it a little more interesting I decided to turn it into a French style manicure with a navy blue tip! I've always loved combining different base and tip colors to make for a more interesting French mani =) Please excuse the mess on my cuticles in the pictures- I haven't gotten around to cleaning them up yet!

Zoya's Pinta
*Disclosure: The Dr.'s REMEDY polish was provided to me for review consideration. This in no way effects my opinion about the polish or my use of it in this post. And technically, I got the Zoya for free too but that was from their facebook promotional code in January =P

  1. how do you do the tips? I've seen a lot of people do these but I never get how they do the tips.

  2. Very carefully haha! I usually just freehand it, which can be pretty difficult. I'm right handed, so my left hand always looks pretty nice but then my right hand is a mess....

If you want a more precise look than just trying to paint the tips as neatly as possible you could always try putting something like masking tape across your nail to get more of a precise line. I think you may also be able to buy stickers specifically for the purpose of covering up the rest of your nail so you can paint the tips!
